I tend to imagine unicorns with a body type more along the lines of deer and antelope than a horse. It seems to fit a lot better with all of the descriptions and tapestry depictions.
I've been following you for a while on deviantArt (that sounds very stalker-like! =) but just started checking this blog out and it is very interesting and inspiring to see all these little sketches. I might even open my own art-journal blog later on. I also like this type of unicorn a lot!
