A couple of days ago one of my skull paintings from 2008 was given a Daily feature over at DeviantArt, and it made me remember that I've been wanting to add more to that series ever since. And so I'm finally getting around to it!
This image is still in-progress, probably about halfway done. Soon I will begin using gouache to bring out colors on the wisps around the bones, and the cast some light on the leaves and bones themselves. I'm taking a lot of WIP photos of this, since I'd like to use it as an example of my current process and maybe in context with a couple of watercolor technique guides.
